ANGELS INTERNATIONAL AU PAIR AGENCY
Terms & Conditions of Business
The
following Terms & Conditions apply immediately upon meeting an Au
Pair through this Agency,
or on reading the details of an Au Pair whose application has been sent
in the post by this Agency, whether the family application form has been
signed by the family, or not. The Agency reserves the right to refuse
a family or to remove the Au Pair when the following terms and conditions
have not been adhered to. This includes failure to pay the Agency fee.
Please note that it is the responsibility of the family to get confirmation
of current fees and terms and conditions at the time of accepting/booking
the Au Pair which could vary from the original information pack sent to
you, as the current terms and conditions, and current fees will always
apply without exception.
- Terms of Payment
Placement fees become payable immediately upon acceptance
of one of our Au Pairs. No Au Pair can be sent to your home
unless all fees have been paid. Our fees are an introduction for the
Au Pair. After the 4 week replacement guarantee period, we cannot replace
an Au Pair for free.
Any accounts that are not paid within 30 days will incur interest at
the current legal rate. Costs of recovery will be added to the amount
of the original invoice value.
Should a cheque paid to Angels International be returned from the bank
unpaid, the family will be liable to pay an extra £15 to cover administration
costs, which will be added to the amount owing?
The family is liable to pay the Agency fee that is current at the time
of the Au Pair starting with the family. Angels International endeavour
to inform all families, by post, of any Agency fee increase intended.
The family is responsible to get confirmation of current fees at the
time of accepting/booking the Au Pair.
- Method of Payment
Agency fees must be paid prior to the Au Pairs arrival. Payments
must be made by cheque, cash (in person only), or by Visa, Mastercard,
Switch or Solo. Please note that a 3% surcharge will be added for payments
made by any debit/credit card once the Au Pair has already started with
the family. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Angels International’.
- Payment to the Au Pairs
Demi Pairs must be paid a minimum of £25, Au Pairs minimum of £50,
Au Pair Plus minimum of £60, and Mothers Help minimum of £80 per week.
Monies must be paid weekly and in full, directly to the
Au Pair, in cash, one week after arrival. The Au Pair must be paid fairly
for the amount of hours that he/she is working for the family – working
hours being the time that he/she has to be available for the family
(thereby preventing the Au Pair from going out and having free time).
- Introductions and Extension of Au Pairs Stay
The Agency fee will be charged on all introductions whether direct
or 3rd party introductions. Once an Au Pair, or her/his details have
been introduced to the family, the family is then liable for Agency
fees should that Au Pair (or any other Au Pair introduced through that
medium) be employed at any time by the family, or any third party introduced
by the family.
Should any Au Pairs stay be extended, The Agency must be informed
immediately. The family will be liable to pay the difference in
fees between one category and the next.
Should an Au Pair return to the family at any time after the initial
introduction to the family, and then the family must inform The Agency
(Angels International) and will be liable to pay the Agency fee for
the return period. The fee would either be counted as an extension and
charged accordingly, or else, in the case of a Summer Temporary Au Pair
returning to the family the following year just for the summer again,
the family will be entitled to a 50% discount off the temporary fee.
Should a family introduce an Au Pair applicant from this Agency to another
family, and that applicant takes up employment with the 2nd
family, then This Agency must be informed immediately and the 2nd
family must register with The Agency, otherwise the 1st family
will be liable for the introduction fee for the Au Pair.
- Termination
Two weeks notice must be given to the Au Pair should the family
wish to terminate the agreement between themselves and the Au Pair.
If the family wishes the Au Pair to leave the family home on short notice,
then the family is liable to pay for hostel/hotel accommodation for
the au pair for a minimum of 4 nights. In the event of serious
misconduct by the Au Pair or the host family, either party shall be
entitled to terminate the engagement with immediate effect. In the event
of such misconduct on the part of the Au Pair, Angels International
will immediately arrange accommodation elsewhere for the Au Pair. If
the Au Pairs departure is a result of misconduct on the part of the
family, Angels International has no obligation to replace the Au Pair.
- Liability
Angels International Au Pair Agency cannot be held liable for any
loss, damage or injury caused to persons or property from any act or
omission on the part of the Au Pair, or for any contractual difference
for the Au Pair from a co-operative Agency.
- Replacement Guarantee
If, at any stage during the first four weeks, your Au
Pair proves to be unsuitable, Angels International will undertake to
provide an alternative Au Pair at no further charge. This is providing
Angels International accepts the reason for the Au Pairs unsuitability.
Whilst Angels International guarantees to replace an unsuitable Au Pair
(unless there has been misconduct on the part of the family), it cannot
offer a refund of placement fees at any stage. Should Angels International
not be able to find a suitable replacement for the family’s requested
start date, and the family find alternative help, then should there
be any difference in fees, this will be credited to the family to be
used at any time within the following 24 months. Maximum guaranteed
replacement for any fee is 3 girls (in total).
- Cancellations
In the event of the Au Pair failing to arrive, the Agency will refund
the fee less £25 to cover administration costs.
In the event of the Family cancelling for any reason, the invitation
of an Au Pair once it has been agreed (whether in writing or just verbally),
then the Family will be liable to pay The Agency a fee of £25 to cover
administration. This also applies even if the family consider the Au
Pair unsuitable for any reason.
- Early Departures from the family
Should your Au Pair leave your family earlier than planned, should
there be a difference in the fees between one category and the next,
then the balance will be credited to your next Au Pair. This is providing
Angels International accepts the reason for the Au Pairs early departure.
No refund is available at any stage.
- Travel
Au Pairs are responsible for their own air fares (to London) however,
the family must either meet their Au Pair at the airport or any other
arrival point into The Country, or arrangements can be made with The
Agency for any arriving Au Pair to be collected from the Airport or
Station - * an additional fee will be charged for this service.
Should the family live outside the Greater London area then the family
must reimburse the Au Pair for the travel fare from London to the main
station of the nearest town to their home, where they will meet her.
- Holiday
One week’s paid holiday shall be offered to the Au Pair after completion
of a six month period with the family. If a family goes on holiday without
the Au Pair, then the family is responsible for providing accommodation
and food for the Au Pair, and the Au Pair is still entitled to her pocket
money. Should the Au Pair request extra holidays (especially during
periods such as Christmas), we request that the family try to be as
flexible as possible, as preventing the Au Pair may encourage bad feelings.
Our Terms and Conditions apply immediately upon The Family receiving
our Information pack, whether the family application form has been signed
by the family, or not. Please make sure that you have read our terms
and conditions carefully before accepting or meeting one of our Au Pairs.
